This is a diverse and interesting role, where no two days are the same. We are New Zealand’s leading supplier of food and technical supplies to the Cargo, Tanker and Cruise ships industry. We are located at Penrose and have a busy office and warehouse team committed to providing the highest levels of service to our clients.

We require a fulltime JUNIOR TECHNICAL SHIPS CHANDLER to join our busy team.

Duties will include:

• Quoting, sourcing, ordering and invoicing ships requests
• Liasing with ships captains and finalising invoices
• Dealing with supplier to ensure product is delivered in a timely manner and at the best possible price
• Creating customs export documentation (training provided)

Successful candidate will have:

• A good level of computer skills
• Good aptitude for mechanical/technical terminology
• Full driver’s license
• Punctual work habits
• Reliable
• Well presentable, friendly personality and able to communicate well with customers
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to be a team player with a ‘can do’ attitude
• Willingness to work one weekend shift in a month

Today the team at Sea Services sadly farewelled Gordy, a longtime employee, colleague and friend. Gordy passed away suddenly last Sunday, leaving us all stunned and saddened. If you have ever meet Gordy, you will remember him, he lived a colourful and full life. He will be missed but never forgotten. RIP Gordy.
