With the new test bench that arrived in the past couple of weeks, we have been testing every alternator that has left our Kapiti warehouse also testing all of the units on the shelf this is our commitment to giving our clients the best quality and dependable products straight out of the box.
I believe we are the only company in New Zealand who does this, we want to know what we sell you does exactly as it needs to do, no questions.

Something exciting has arrived at AS Group today.

This is one of our investments into the future developments in the auto electrical industry.

Whilst we could test and check many alternators including many modern ECU (COM LIN BSS) type with our previous test bench, this new test bench covers even more!

We are ready to repair and then test 48V alternators with this new test bench, these 48V alternators are actually Starter/Alternators meaning when the engine is stopped and then restarted the alternator becomes an electric motor and spins the engine over, once the engine is running the alternator starts charging the vehicle battery/hybrid battery.

Suitable for alternator types including but not limited to IST, BSG, COM and conventional types too.

We are at the FutureAg show in Melbourne checking in with a couple of suppliers.
There is so much tech available in the Agricultural industry it’s been an awesome experience today.
The show goes for another couple of days.

We have had a whole lot of new products added this month.
More clock springs, ABS wheel speed sensors, Blower Motor Resistors, Brake/Stop light switches and of course more Alternators and Starter motors.
We have also increased our range of Genuine Alternators and Starters from brands such as BOSCH/SEG, VALEO, DENSO, MITSUBISHI.
Along with a wider range of +Plus Line Pro alternators, these are a select range of aftermarket alternators with OEM voltage regulators and OEM Clutch Pulleys to suit the vehicles mainly with single wire ecu communication to the alternator (LIN /BSS / COM).

Brake pedal switches!
These items are commonly used to activate your brake lights as the pedal is pressed. But not all switches make direct contact with the rear lights these days. Sometimes the switches trigger the likes of a body control module which in turn switches the lights on. Some switches are multiple circuit, a circuit is used for cruise control for example. Some “brake pedal switches” are not switches at all but variable resistors.
Which ever you have, what ever the OEM describes it as in the trade it’s generally known as a brake pedal switch.
