Meet the team: MAIA 👋
After four years with Trenchmate, Maia knows a thing or two about keeping things moving. As part of our operations and transport team, no two days are quite the same.
What do you do at Trenchmate?
A bit of everything! From taking customer orders and organising daily and weekly schedules, to coordinating transport and overseeing operations, I’m basically making sure everything runs as smoothly as possible.
What were you doing before Trenchmate?
I was a truck driver for eight years, doing a bit of everything from night swaps and linehaul to the occasional metro run. I started at Trenchmate as a truck driver, and as opportunities came up, I moved into operations and transport. I’ve been in my current role for the last three and a half years.
What do you enjoy most about your job?
The variety. It’s not always sitting behind a computer screen. Some days I’ll be out helping the guys on the floor building gear in the morning, then jumping in the truck for deliveries in the afternoon. No two days are ever the same.
But the people I work alongside would have to be my favourite part. We’re like one big family.
Important question: what’s your go-to lunch or drink?
😂 A Deep Spring Orange & Mango, paired with a ham and cheese sausage roll from Callum’s Bakery. Lol.
And what will we find you doing when you’re not at Trenchmate?
Spending time with my partner and kids. We do lots of family activities and road trips together.
