CAD, 3D Scanning, and 3D Printing make exhaust design and production so much better!

Pictured here, an exhaust recently finished for the ODM Lexus, 100% 3D printed in 316L Stainless Steel.
Fitment was problematic with the strut towers being so close to the engine, and given our obsession with exhaust lengths and collector shapes, the only solution was to print them with minimal welds.

Something fun about fitting a modern engine to a classic British sports car.

We just finished this full assembly with one of our 1GZ V12s, mated to a ZF 8HP gear box.

We started with a 3d scan of the chassis. Designed and manufactured the entire cooling system, exhaust, sump, AC arrangement, engine mounts and engine wiring.

Our two favourite parts are the 4 exhaust tubes merging into one 3d printed SS collector underneath the engine, and the plenum with a clear top so the throttles can be seen.

Did we mention it's got 640hp and revs to 10,000rpm?.. Hopefully the 1960s brakes have been upgraded.

Well it does, but, we work on the philosophy that if we don't have full CAD models of the engines and components we make/sell, we don't truly 'own' them.
