We primarily support businesses in the Central and Lower North Island for all their weighing equipment needs, as well as having the scope to supply and install weighbridges throughout both North and South Islands. NEW WORKSHOP

We are pleased to announce that we have recently moved our main workshop in Palmerston North to larger premises in Roxburgh Crescent.
This has followed further expansion with the addition of a further Technician, who has join us from another scale company.
Leroy brings with him 10 years’ experience in the NZ scale industry, with particular emphasis in food processing and we are delighted to have him bring his skills to Scaletec. He has already shown himself to be a valued member of the team and we have great hopes for him for the future.

New Checkweighing scales

Scaletec recently agreed a deal with Dini Argeo of Italy to import a range of their equipment, as we have been looking for an additional range of indicators which offer European quality, excellent IP ratings, competitive pricing and options not found within the current marketplace.
One of these indicators is the Dini Argeo model DFWLID checkweighers.

The advantages of this indicator is the large 40mm screen which can be set to change colour at preset target weights. This allows the operator to focus solely on the colour of the screen – looking for the green light for the OK to move onto the next item to be weighed.
This appealed to Steve Love (Production Manager at Speirs Foods) as he was keen to reduce wastage and to narrow the tolerances used in the production of the salad items being packed.

In addition the Dini range includes hazardous area classifications, touch screen options, axle weighing systems, batch controllers and an excellent range of load cells.

John Turkington – supply of new weighbridge

John Turkingtons are a forestry business which transports their goods out of the Kiwirail site in Palmerston North. Earlier this year we supplied, installed and certified a new 12m above ground weighbridge with associated software, at their site off of Tremaine Ave. We were able to utilize an existing concrete slab as part of the foundation, thus lowering the cost of the setup for the clients.
They had the need to have software written specifically for their needs and we were able to oblige with a bespoke system tailor made for their needs, which includes a wireless link to a modem for backing up data to their main office.
