34 Years ago today, July 31st 1992, Pace Engineering Ltd commenced business , setting up in a modest, small workshop in what was originally a car wrecking yard.

We look back with gratitude to the staff, suppliers, and clients, that have allowed Pace Engineering Ltd to grow into a multi-faceted
engineering operation providing a diverse range of services, while maintaining private family ownership and values. All sorts of challenges have been imposed on the industry in Taranaki over recent years , however we are proud of the focus applied to finding new markets to maintain a resilient business and employment for our teams.

As the markets have changed, and will continue to do so, we have embarked on a program of change as a business to see us well into the future, more news on that as plans unfold.

Another interesting turnkey transport engineering job left our workshops today, ready to start work on Monday. Our clients vacuum truck was in need of a major overhaul and a new Cab & Chassis package.
We sourced a suitable replacement truck, removed the vacuum unit from old truck, completed crack repairs to sub frame and general tidy up.
Twin vacuum pumps were completely stripped, repairs completed, direction reversed to suit the new PTO on re-assembly. The new truck chassis was shortened to suit the vacuum unit.
We refitted the vacuum unit to the new truck, designed and installed a new drivetrain between the PTO and the pumps and commissioned the vacuum unit and hydraulics.
New aluminium water tanks were fabricated and a pressure washer was fitted utilising all available space on the truck .
