Giving old assets a new purpose.
This gas-fired compressor has been refurbished and repurposed for relocation to an ageing gas reservoir, extending its operational life and supporting continued gas production and NZ energy security.
A massive shout-out to the Energyworks workshop and paintshop teams for the fantastic job they've done. They've truly given this compressor a birthday, transforming it into a unit that's ready for deployment and many more years of service.

Fun fact 📖🖊️ – a compressor acts as a large-scale straw to suck up the product. As a gas field depletes, its pressure drops, a lot more effort is needed to extract the same amount of gas from the field. To keep the gas flowing, the compressor sucks the gas out of the reservoir.
