We are excited to launch our new 2026 service rig. We have retired the old Colorado and Jordon Keir will be clocking up the kms in the new 4x4 Triton.

Our vehicles are set up to help us be the most efficent hydraulics service provider in the region. A proven system with the largest stock holding in the top of the south.

JVS hauler rebuild!!
We had the pleasure of assisting Kyle at D.M.F and in the rebuild of this Madil 123 log hauler.

We tidied up 80% of the hydraulic system, and making everything fit was quite a challenge!

New air dryer set up, swing, travel and throttle controls into the new cab, water brake hoses, pump pilot lines, charge pump suction, water cooling pipes and safety lockout valves, making this beast a lot safer and user friendly.

Couple of snaps from 1975 of the Late Mike Curry wheel standing a skidder, and showing whos boss of the skidders🤣
I also had the pleasure of working along side Mike in the bush in later years as a service provider and learnt alot of him.
Russell Scott (dad) on his racing saw placing second to Kevin Charles that year.

I have been in and out of the Nelson forests since 1984 as a 2 year old going along to see dad, the days off tough men on tough terrain.!💪

Would like to find someone in Murchison who would like to add a hydraulic hose service to their current business or have interest in something new.

We are offering a Chance to to supply Hydraulic hose and fittings to our local customer base, Ideally this person would be based in town 90% of their week, have some mechanical apptitude.

The products and tooling can be supplied on consignment or purchased at distrubtor rates. We can offer product support and training.
There is also an option for a service vehicle.

After lots of discussion and calculations we can no longer continue to offer our ONE WAY KMS and bush road return deal that we have offered over the last 9 years of business.

JVS will be joining all the other service providers applying kms in both directions for on site jobs from our Wakefield workshop, effective immediately.

We are however holding off adding a Fuel Adjustment factor tax to each job, this will be addressed in the coming months if necessary.

We thank all our loyal customers in the top of the south and across NZ for your continued support.
