Levin contractor calls the tractor tooth fairy - that's us! 🧚

These inner and outer PTO shafts on a John Deere 6820 had seen better days. The teeth had ground against each other over time and were completely worn, replacements were needed ASAP.

This National Volunteer Week we're proud to shine a light on one of the organisations we sponsor, the Rapid Relief Team (RRT) – a crew dedicated to lending a hand when it's needed most 💯

We want to recognise the RRT volunteers who show up for communities across NZ (and globally) including our rural farming communities. These legends have already put in over 17,500 volunteer hours so far this year. 🧡

This week marks National Volunteer Week (Te Wiki Tūao ā-Motu), and we want to acknowledge the RRT volunteers who give their time to support communities across New Zealand.

When you push your tractor hard, it'll let you know 💥

This Deutz-Fahr Agrofarm 100 was running water-filled tyres at maximum wheel spacing - a common setup on hilly NZ farmland.

It works, but it puts serious stress on the swivel housing, and that weak point at the kingpin will eventually crack and break the whole housing. 😬

Fun fact: the Deutz-Fahr Agrofarm is widely used as a fencing and dairy tractor in NZ, it suits the hilly terrain due to its low and wide profile.

We supplied a used swivel housing with brakes, pulled straight from an Agrofarm TTV 430 to fit their Agrofarm 100.

Perfect fit, ready to go - and saved them over $1,500 compared to buying new. No waiting on overseas freight either. 🔧

This one really 𝘣𝘰𝘳𝘦 the brunt of it. 🙈

A workshop in Aussie reached out to us recently with Deutz-Fahr Agrofarm 85 transmission in rough shape.

The PTO top shaft was badly worn, chewed up by a seized bearing that had been quietly causing chaos for a while, with damage spreading to surrounding gears and bearings too💥 🚜

We pulled together all the parts needed to get the job done right. The shaft, bearings, bushings, seals... a mix of genuine and quality aftermarket parts where it made sense, which helped cut big costs without cutting corners.

And with the exchange rate working strongly in favour of Aussie buyers right now, the savings were even better than expected - NZD pricing is going a long way across the Tasman at the moment. 💰
