2025 bale feeder run in progress

Strong round and square feeders will be ready for pickup from 1st of June.

We have been making these same feeders for 4 years now and with 50+ in use around the district we have not had a single one come back to the shop for repairs.

Round feeders can be supplied with or without sheet steel pans.

Don’t be fooled by cheeper / lighter alternatives. All our feeders are made withth 3mm + wall thickness tube or box section.

Here At Foothills Engineering no two days are the same we are a country engineering shop that strives to turn our hand at any need or challenge that may arise. If you have previous agricultural engineering experience and are willing to further your skills in Fabrication, Welding, Machining, Hydraulic hose repair, Onsite breakdown repairs and Custom Offroad 4x4 Fabrication skills we're hoping to hear from you.

~ Employment Term: Permanent or Contractor
~ Workshop location: Mayfield, 20min inland from Ashburton
~ Pay Rate: hourly - $30-40* Pending skills and proven previous experience
~ Employment hours: 45 hours + regular overtime @ $1.5X
~Travel: fuel allowance to and from work*
~ Additional benefits on offer as earnt

That time of year again team, Bale Feeders are ready for pickup,

Cradle Type - Sheet bottom can be added if requested
Square Type

Our feeders made strong to last the test of time, all pipe or box section is 3mm wall unlike some of the cheaper options we see in the workshop for repeated repairs which are made out of 1.5 or 2mm wall pipe or box section. just remember - you pay for what you get when it comes to feeders.

Description:

Foothills Engineering are looking for a skilled tradesman to join our team due to additional services and increased workloads, we offer general engineering, machining, fabrication, profile cutting and pipe bending services along with mobile welding, hydraulic hose repair and emergency break down services to local Agricultural, heavy transport industries. We have a well setup workshop with all the tools on hand to get the job done. We also work alongside Coastal Offroad New Zealand to develop, manufacture and distribute their wide range of 4x4 off-road products for NZ and Australian markets.

We pride ourselves in being a fun and hard-working team ready to take on any challenge and are looking for an enthusiastic passionate person to join us who enjoys a variety of work with plenty of rewards on offer along the way.

Ideally a successful candidate would have the following:
> Agricultural Engineering experience
> Previous welding and mechanical fitting experience
> Self-Motivation / excellent work ethic
> Passion for 4x4 modification and product development
> Good communication / English skills
> Positive fun attitude and initiative
> Relevant current work visa if applicable
> Good physical fitness

We offer flexible working conditions and competitive hourly rate's pending experience.
