From School Visit to Career Start – Welcome, Blake!

Blake Turner first connected with Rocktec at the College Careers Expo in 2024 as a Year 11 student. Inspired by our conversation, he went the extra mile—literally—by push biking to our workshop later that same day to express his interest in joining the team.

In 2025, during his final year of school (Year 12), Blake joined Rocktec as a Gateway student, working one day a week alongside our team to gain hands-on experience and insight into a career in the trades.

Today, we’re proud to announce that Blake has officially joined Rocktec as a Trades Apprentice in our workshop team.

From day one, Blake has shown energy, drive, and commitment — taking every opportunity and running with it like a Formula One driver chasing the finish line. His determination and attitude have made a lasting impression, and we’re excited to see where his journey takes him.

Welcome aboard, Blake — you're a valued part of the next chapter in Rocktec’s future, and we’re proud to have you with us.

— The Rocktec Team

FODS in action | Faulks | Queenstown site 🗻

Traditional rock entrances are messy, expensive, and require constant maintenance. Faulks is taking a smarter approach with FODS Trackout Control Mats — and the results speak for themselves.

• Removes up to 60% more sediment
• No aggregate to manage or clean up
• Installs in under 30 minutes

💥Helps prevent sediment and contaminants from leaving the site!!

We currently have two demo hire sets available in Auckland — ideal for civil, construction, or infrastructure projects looking to trial the system on-site.

RMA Compliance - Clean Wheels

See how a portable trackout mat meets the RMA’s - avoid and remedy.
1. Avoid – The design strips about 90% of mud before wheels reach public roads.
2. Remedy – Hose down, stack, redeploy — no leftover sludge piles.
3. Mitigate – Tough recycled HDPE panels mean fewer truckloads of new gravel and lower landfill fees.

One mat set. Rapid compliance!

One set of mats. Dozens of compliant sites.

Rocktec FODS Trackout Mats are changing the game — one set can move from a subdivision to a quarry entrance to a motorway upgrade - cutting your trackout control costs by 60–80% per project.

Here’s why they work so well:
• 10-year service life = up to 30 redeployments
• Stack flat on a ute or trailer — no crane, no permits
• Pack up in 30 minutes to stay on schedule
• Keeps paying off, project after project — while keeping you RMA compliant

Let’s make your compliance budget go further.

Rocktec was proud to participate in the Pohlen Foundation Trust Golf Tournament last week. ⛳️ The event exceeded all expectations, raising an incredible $31,000 for Pohlen Hospital! 🎉

The Pohlen Foundation Trust was established to provide crucial funding beyond the hospital’s operational budget, specifically to support the upgrade of facilities and the replacement of medical equipment. This tournament was a fantastic opportunity to support such a meaningful cause.

It was a day filled with community spirit and generosity. We're grateful to have been part of this day and look forward to continuing to support the foundation.
