From School Visit to Career Start – Welcome, Blake!

Blake Turner first connected with Rocktec at the College Careers Expo in 2024 as a Year 11 student. Inspired by our conversation, he went the extra mile—literally—by push biking to our workshop later that same day to express his interest in joining the team.

In 2025, during his final year of school (Year 12), Blake joined Rocktec as a Gateway student, working one day a week alongside our team to gain hands-on experience and insight into a career in the trades.

Today, we’re proud to announce that Blake has officially joined Rocktec as a Trades Apprentice in our workshop team.

From day one, Blake has shown energy, drive, and commitment — taking every opportunity and running with it like a Formula One driver chasing the finish line. His determination and attitude have made a lasting impression, and we’re excited to see where his journey takes him.

Welcome aboard, Blake — you're a valued part of the next chapter in Rocktec’s future, and we’re proud to have you with us.

We've chosen September to acknowledge and celebrate the incredible dedication and commitment of some of the stalwarts who’ve helped shape Rocktec into the business it is today.

Over lunch today, we recognised a remarkable group of team members whose combined service spans more than 115 years — a true testament to the strength, loyalty, and spirit of our Rocktec family. Some of these awards were presented retrospectively, but the appreciation is as strong as ever.
