Howard Material Handling is a small to medium sized business. We have been selling industrial lifting equipment and general materials handling equipment in the Wellington region for over 25 years. We have a diverse range of customers who come from the construction industry, engineering works, transport companies, abseil operators, manufacturers,film and stage industry and marine and yachting public. In addition to selling product, we offer a range of services, including testing and certification of lifting equipment, manufacture of wire rope slings, chain slings, heavy duty sack barrows, climbing nets, wire rope ladders, and repair of hoisting, winching and lifting equipment. The strength of the Howard Material Handling brand in the Wellington region is due to their specialised range of product, product knowledge and services that support this industry. Materials are sourced internationally from France, Sweden,
Asia, and Australia for the products that are not manufactured
in New Zealand. We support our imported lines with parts and service and also distribute for other importers.

Also at Brookfield for thier comms and UHF radio - helped re rig the Aerial support set up .. believe it or not we simplified it a little and swapped out the 3 strand for double braid on the pulley system - camp folk need to do a little tree trimming for ease of service but its working well - - counterweight to take tension adjustment between trees in the wind - aerial spans some 150+m across the site to the other side (on another tree)

Brookfield Outdoor Education Centre has some new gear - 7x2m Climbing net - rigged between trees in the confidence course on 9mm wire rope supports with tree protection - a great addition for the Scouting fraternaties to have fun and enjoy :)
