Establishing in 1982, MSA grew from humble beginnings operating out of Peter Roe's garage, initially manufacturing motocross safety apparel (HOLESHOT Products Limited) employing one machinist. The business expanded with the manufacture of aftermarket automotive vehicle trim. The expansion necessitated a move to commercial factory premises. With continued business growth, an office and factory faci
lity was purpose built in which the company currently operates from. With the advent of vehicle imports, MSA’s historical automotive lines declined. This led to new business opportunities found from a diverse range of companies, which MSA currently manufacturer for. MSA’s Management and Quality Control systems are certified by Telarc SAI to AS/NZ ISO 9001:2008 standards. This registration covers the design, manufacture and supply of textile fabrics with a bi-annual audit of the certification to ensure ongoing compliance. The company also owes its success to its own professional standards and to the continual improvement of the manufacturing processes and the manner in which services are delivered. MSA has a range of light and heavy sewing machines, automatic pattern sewing, overlocking, binding.Also hydraulic press cutting, stand-alone knife cutting, fabric strip cutting, webbing and tape cutting. Other services MSA offer are heat press transfer printing, screen printing, embroidery, eyelet and doming.
