The good thing about coal is that we can get it hot! Like, really hot! 1100 degrees C is what we got it up to!

At this heat, we can melt copper. Makes me think about what creations we can come up with.

What a day to spend on my first day representing Kokatahi Blacksmith at the The Cool Little Market!

It was great to see so many people interested in what we do and also, how we do it.

Also, the new mobile forge I recently picked up from Christchurch worked a treat!

If you are interested in seeing this all in action next weekend, we will be at Shantytown on the 14th Feb on their forge. Looking forward to it!
