D22 Navara airbox Fabricated for a customer.
Been trying to improve these designs with each build. Especially with customers wanting to do river crossings and test there snorkels and trucks. This airbox runs an 8mm thick acrylic inspection window, a 3mm thick rubber insertion gasket which gives a 100% water tight seal, clamped down with x14 M6 stainless buttonhead screws and M6 rivnuts. All attached to the existing plastic snorkel. Just waiting on the last piece of the puzzle, which is a duckbill 'Donaldson' drain valve. Which automatically drains any water that may enter from rain or splash back 💦
