Really, it’s about ease and clarity. It’s being able to have a conversation without raising your voice, in a room that feels calm - even when it’s full.

Materials like wool felt work by absorbing sound energy, reducing reverberation and helping balance the space.

You shouldn’t necessarily notice it when it’s been installed properly - but you definitely notice when it’s missing.

How good does FMG’s new office at the Foodeast Hub in Hastings look?

Floc was installed throughout the reception, incorporating custom printed branding and wording to create a space that is both visually impactful and acoustically balanced.

A refined fit-out delivered at scale.

At Lexus, T&R Interior Systems installed Eclipse Aluminium Baffle ceilings alongside Phonic Absorb acoustic tiles to balance visual impact with performance.

The aluminium baffles create a strong architectural ceiling feature, with integrated lighting and clean linear form, while Phonic Absorb provides high-performance acoustic control across the wider space.

Spotlight: Olive

Grounded, natural and confident Olive, one of our favourite tones from Floc’s new colour range, sits comfortably within the shift towards more nature-led interiors.

It brings depth without heaviness, pairing easily with timber, stone and darker palettes while still holding its own.

In wool felt, the colour takes on a softness and variation that gives it a more organic, less uniform finish.

A very wholesome outcome for some retired Floc prototypes.

After changing our manufacturing process for Floc 3D, our team in Wellington ended up with a stack of wool sheets that were no longer needed. Rather than sending them to landfill, Josh and Shaun reached out to HUHA Animal rescue to see if they could put them to good use.

Turns out, absolutely.

More than 200 wool sheets are now well on their way to help keep dogs warm and comfortable in HUHA’s care. These same wool sheets were also used during Cyclone Gabrielle, where they proved incredibly useful for animals needing shelter, warmth and comfort.

Safe to say this is probably the cutest second life our products have had so far.

Some of the most important materials in a space are the ones you don’t immediately notice.

At the Netherlands Embassy fit-out in Wellington, Floc was used alongside New Zealand Silver Beech (Tāwhai) to support the acoustic performance of a highly considered, architecturally integrated space.

While the carved timber forms carry the visual narrative, Floc works quietly behind the scenes - managing sound, improving clarity, and helping the space feel calm and composed.

Made from natural wool and manufactured in Aotearoa, it’s a material that performs without demanding attention.
