General Fix It - Chainsaw Chains before Mayoral Chains or Development West Coast links.... we have the linkages with respect to our Forestry Milling families....
Dear Development West Coast
It is with concern that you promote yourselves with promotions materials re mining; yet have you shown the dirty water flows… have you shown that our National Forest which was once NZFS is taken up by Ngai Tahu here in Kaniere. Really after it was our families that went through such losses of jobs/work and had to make other work arrangements during those times – really what have you done to assist us in our property; small business…
It is time Development West Coast actually became more truthful; also to the losses Councils are causing in their lacking due diligence; lacking the asset management plans for budgeting; which should have always been in place to ensure infrastructure maintained. Those Council/s now being reformed; after it was us who called in Local Government Commission here on application 2015; but have continued on their same regime, with Iwi involved largely to look after themselves. These matters are not to be ignored or fault concealed; for it is us whom you have your jobs/funds from i.e. milling / logging compensation. Those days were far better in that production orientation was at grounded level… please see us if you need further information as there seems to be a lack of consultation from within all the systems West Coast Buller but with Iwi given preference.
Our three waters should never be sold out to out of area companies; so what is Development West Coast doing to retain the jobs needed as in proper water management? It is seen that Development West Coast are working closely with Grey District Council hence the new Library building $24 mil. Pounamu Trails also funded from Regional Grant Funds; We also realise that Department of Internal Affairs coerced Councils to take those funds to spend community projects (without proper consultation); so now West Coast Buller are being forced into Water Companies (who are suing GDC) for boil water issues. So now where is the sense in ALL of this? And especially for us in small business (who’ve had to twist turn and change jobs) seeing our monies going to enterprises in opposition to that which we pay our taxes; and namely it has been us who’ve called for monies to health care needs!. All along now leaders and you as well concealing fault regarding mandating mass injections = causing harm/cancer/heart conditions. We do small business fix it chainsaws/lawnmowers = perhaps our chains could be worn around to show that we are better and more trustworthy than the Mayors… but surely DWC should know by now what is best for West Coast grounded jobs!!!!. And it’s not that of taking so wrongly from the public purse.
Be told and show remorse… repay for your expenses and complacency, lack of respect to us and our forestry/milling family forebears.

While it's pouring down here: a reminder of objection placed to Council last year... a reminder also to those in parliament, those forming bills, those legal entities... they who should know better:
OBJECTION to all done so far: send back to Central Government over reach:
It's one thing for the Local Water Done Well reform to offer this choice for councils, but that doesn’t mean just any CCO makes sense. DIA coerced Council/s to take three waters tranche funds to spend elsewhere. DIA also continued on spending when National Government were saying they would pull the three waters policy up!. Now to Westland/Grey/Buller WE have also witnessed CCOs / Directors and conflicts of interests within, while we always required core business function.
It’s been 30 years here at Kaniere since we found coliforms within our own drain 20000 coliforms per mil which was straight sewerage! due to Council staff allowing building in nearby area without proper infrastructure but overflows to stormwater (through into our property before we bought it - no info on LIM). WE right here on this property have those files of when Kaniere went into the HOkitika Sewerage Scheme.
Have Council since kept good Asset Management Plans and how on earth to budget if those plans not in place!? Waiho River sewerage ponds were left at risk 2012/13 when Council staff especially and CEO emails confirm the known risks of the river. Infiltration galleries washing out. All while the Council (CCOs) i.e. Property Company and Westroads monies spent down on the Haast Hollyford Roading proposal (I have those transaction details).
Now in the most torrential rain weathers that we get here i.e. Rivers, Creeks, in high rainfalls. Let's take a look at Westland and not the rest of the Country (perhaps Westland provincial even) and realise that we have had the Local Government Commission here who sanctioned the One West Coast Plan. Since then there has been still wasted monies and including Iwi representation. So come back to Directors of Companies - who can we rely on as in Trust for local waters done well being drinking, storm, waste waters. No one better than those with the local knowledge here and that doesn't have to be CCO directors or Iwi directors or any other company director but those with the most skill base.
So Westland, Grey, Buller and West Coast Regional Council - you must all go back to Local Government Commission and too the Local Government Fix It we had here and paid for in 2012/14. Go back to ex Mayor Pugh Council time and her staffing who have let us down and at our expense. Go to Sir John Key and his cycletrail - did he really ask for a Wilderness Trail in the most risk rainfall area causing liability. No and neither did he expect $1 mil clip on bridge cycletrails to be wasted at Teramakau.
Bridges, roading, rivers, lakes, water supplies and sewerage schemes is all we require of a network within that of District Councils and we already have Westroads and Westreef who surely must have the plans (Asset Management). So to get back to unification then too we must rid at least two Council/s so that affordability and accountability is paramount for a low rating base (Westland 7400) and where there is also DOC!! (see our application 2015 to LGC).
Show our people the correct information like the underground pipeworks, the pond facilities, drinking water pipelines instead of playing games with fairylights, fanciful nonsense. You have wasted on playgrounds! and giveaways.
Paying CEOs up near $278k and we have four, plus the CEOs of CCOs is ludicrous enough! without another lot of CCO's CEOs.
I don't have to say much more = it's a ‘get back to Central Government and tell them they've over reached and coming out with ludicrous decisions” (and you are all acting like puppets including our MPs) while monies are going to deep pockets.
We shall form our own waters committees in Westland and it won't cost the elderly or our health care facilities... it will be based on skill factor and intelligence.
So here it is an objection to New Zealand government workings, from Westland long term Pioneer descendants who brought the waterlines out from lakes. This is an objection to overly administrative overheads, government overreaches while our infrastructure needs & health care were always necessary. It comes back to being well informed and not to be ridden roughshod over by those who should know better..... let's apply the Magna Carta and our Common Sense.

Memorials must be correct... never meddle; there must be consultation to gather all information.... never meddle with that which does not belong to you: - consultation proper for well informed consent... and that's coming from Ross/Rimu/Kowhitirangi/Kaniere good people....Anzac families who've now had to stand up to such dictatorship leaders failing to do their duty.... name & shame them.

GENERAL FIX IT; West Coast/Buller WE ratepayers & residents group members have been the ones to call for cost efficiency; core business function; for minimal and low rating base the regimes are heavily administrated (leadership companies as well CEOs, corporate service staff, the whole lot) the regime of burueacrats/iwi seen to be uneconomic and unfair. WE long time pioneer descendants know well our area; all along we needed less health care waiting lists - due to monies gone to wrong buckets; the mis/mal/non feasance & dirty leeching; the waste of tax/rate/grants is eye glaring to recreation or fun and games children playgrounds/cycle trails/libraries; when health care needs. West Coast Buller; the coercion of mandated mRNA mass jabbing is not on (well known to cause health harms) and we as Anzac family know well that!!! we knew well from Nuremberg and we have uncles buried overseas - we are not to be censored. We appreciate specialised care, pilots and good roading networks. GENERAL FIX IT putting it right: Regarding our Westland War Memorial Hall; RSA rebuild we have the record... it is with respect to Rose Matthews and I (as a councillor 2013-14) who actually worked to rebuild our local RSA; garage sales; fundraising; working group; plans; to enable respect for ours, our families. Rex & I along with Growcott grave restoration left over funds contributed the first $500 to the fundraising a/c.. I invited veterans to council to rebuild bridges which had been torn due to other concept plans drawn by Property Co. the story is true; we had to get the key to go back in after Council locked us out; we went to check why funds had been paid to Property Co. from Mountain Jade bus turn around & got that clawed back. WE went & got the old video easy shop with assistance from Gary Lee NW; WE gathered all in lugged & carried the giving from community; rang the bells; went from there up to $120k.and plans in place....THANKS FOR OUR INPUT AS WE DID THE HARD YARDS - ONLY TO BE OUTCAST BY THOSE WHO DIDN'T EVEN WANT REX ON THE COMMITTEE; THOSE WHO'RE GRANDSTANDING/BYSTANDERS..... but we have the great connections for our Anzac families here... thanks Councillor Keenan Counsellor Matthews both with husbands called Rex...
