The Slammer tool is a multi-tool that combines a sledgehammer with a digging bar and an axe head. The inner bar slides up and down and impacts upon the blade - creating force to the same spot again and again. It's very effective for cutting through hard, rocky ground and tough root systems associated with well-established plants. And particularly useful in areas that are hard to reach with machinery or other conventional tools. Key points:

Treble Cone Ski Area planting day!
Our local ski resort has planted hundreds of native plants and we love helping them.

Mons Royale sponsored this event with lots of Department of Conservation and volunteers.

One particular eager local legend Finn Bilous planted trees for the future.

Good on you all, giving back to Nature that we are so Grateful to play in.

The Harakeke Aroha needed an update.
Project Enlightened Zen Tub starts with removing Flax. Using the Slammertool to remove the flax. Not an easy task with conventional tools, and too tight of a space to use machinery. This flax will live again and it will be transplanted to a place where it will be loved.
Next step, remove and transplant Bamboo into large containers. Once again, a hard job without The Slammer Tool. (Bamboo can be very misunderstood without the right tools.)
Now that we have Bamboo in pots we are ready to Zen this tub!
The Bamboo will continue to grow in pots, until root bound (2-4 years)… then divide again with the same tool. Great privacy screen that keeps on giving! So Zen!

Signs and posts increase with population.
The Slammer Tool is a perfect tool for carefully digging in hard ground. It is also perfect for packing the soil around the post , using the handle.
This is the National T/A trail that gets a lot of use, and Scott’s beach road which is also getting a lot of use. The Slammer Tool wants everyone to get along, with style!

Sometimes the throttle cable snaps just as a storm approaches. The Slammer Tool acts as an anchor/ dead man to winch the boat out of wave impact zone and up the beach for safety.

Gates, fences, decks, anything that goes up needs a hole. When digging these holes in rock solid hard dirt, hidden stones, clay, and places augers can’t dig, This is an awesome combo!

Did that lovely Flax get a bit Big? Nasty? and too hard to deal with?
The Slammer Tool is perfect for cleaning it up and having cuttings to plant somewhere else.
