👋 Meet Simon Cole, Coolsense Warehouse & Logistics Supervisor!
Simon officially joined the Coolsense team in December 2025, stepping into the vital role of Warehouse and Logistics Supervisor - the manufacturing arm behind Coolcare’s chilling systems.
With 10 years of experience in warehousing and inventory management, Simon brings a steady, organised approach to keeping operations running smoothly. From picking parts for jobs and supplying them through to the workshop, to dispatching stock across our dealer network, Simon plays a critical role in making sure the right equipment gets to the right place, at the right time.
Before joining Coolsense, Simon worked as an Assistant Distribution Centre Manager in another rural-sector business, giving him strong experience in logistics, customer service, and the fast-moving world of supply and dispatch. He’s also spent time in retail operations and even horticulture - a background that’s shaped his practical, hands-on work ethic.
What attracted Simon to the role was the chance to be part of something that was growing. As he puts it, it was an exciting opportunity to problem-solve, learn a new side of the industry through manufacturing, and contribute to a business with real momentum and potential.
In his day-to-day, Simon oversees inventory control, stock accuracy, dispatch timelines, warehouse workflows, and the systems that keep everything flowing efficiently - all while supporting the wider team with the behind-the-scenes work that customers may not always see, but absolutely rely on.
Kiwi born and bred, Simon is a Waikato local through and through - a Hamilton boy with roots in Taupiri, and now based in Morrinsville. He loves the rural vibe, the extra backyard space, and the sense of community that comes with small-town life.
Outside of work, Simon is a proud girl dad to two young daughters, with weekends often filled with swimming lessons, playground trips, and family time.
And when it comes to hobbies, Simon’s household is all about ultimate frisbee - a passion he shares with his partner. Simon has been playing competitively for 10 years, including national league success with back-to-back NZ Masters Championships in 2024 and 2025 with the team “Hammertron Past Our Prime.”
We’re stoked to have Simon on board, bringing experience, energy, and a sharp eye for logistics that helps keep Cool Group delivering at its best. Welcome to the team, Simon!
