We’re excited to be delivering specialist mechanical electrical work at Anglesea, wiring large Air Handling Units (AHUs) and Fan Coil Units (FCUs), all integrated with Siemens BMS controllers using 0–10V controls. The Distribution Board and control panel were expertly crafted by NHP Electrical Engineering Products.

What makes this project unique is its medical application. Operating theatres require precise pressure control to help prevent contamination, ensuring a safe and sterile environment.

With multiple filtration stages at both the AHUs and individual outlets, as well as pressure sensors monitoring performance across each filter, this system ensures optimal air quality and timely maintenance.

A great example of precision, safety, and smart building technology working together. 🤌⚡️

At Elektron, we're not just focused on security, we're focused on delivering solutions that meet our clients' unique requirements.

This project required effective control of vehicle access into a car park, while maintaining the building's aesthetics and minimising any visual impact. Working within the property's boundary line restrictions, our team developed a custom gate automation solution that achieved both security and architectural goals.

The system is fully integrated with the client's Gallagher access control platform, providing seamless and secure operation. For the gate automation, we utilised the DITEC PWR35 operator, allowing the gates to open beyond 90 degrees for optimal vehicle access and traffic flow.

Every site presents its own challenges, and we take pride in designing solutions that balance functionality, security, and appearance.

If you're looking for a custom access control, automation, or security solution, get in touch with the Elektron team today.

Prior to the World Surf League event in Raglan commencing, we were requested to establish two camera towers for the event.

These towers enabled event staff to monitor the crowds and provided additional oversight throughout the event.

It was great to see the international event be such a success for the small town of Raglan, and what a privilege it was to host it here in New Zealand.

Elektron Group has received the sad news of the passing of one of its founders, Morrie Chandler, aged 85.

Morrie, alongside David Ward, established Ward Chandler in 1972. Together, they built Ward Chandler Waikato Limited into a respected and successful business, leading it until their retirement in late 2006.

In November 2013, Ward Chandler Waikato Limited was rebranded as Elektron Group Limited, continuing the legacy they created.

We acknowledge Morrie’s significant contribution to the company and the industry, and the strong foundations he helped build that remain today.

Elektron extends its sincere condolences to Morrie’s family and friends.

Rest in peace, Morrie.

Reaching new heights on this one… literally 🫣

At 19 metres up, installing 6 fresh air fans was no small feat, but with the right gear and a team that doesn’t look down, we got it done!

Big effort from the lads to bring this mechanical project close to the finish line.

Sparkies by day, fishermen by night 🎣⚡

A huge thank you to J. A. Russell Ltd for an epic day out on the water in Tauranga, BOP, back in February.

It turned out to be a stunning day on the water, topped off with prizegiving at the Tauranga Sport Fishing Club.

Elektron was proud to reel in the Best Photo prize for capturing the most aesthetic shot (check out the first image!).
