For the last few weeks, the WSF team has been busy at the Ruakura Superhub installing the structural steel for the Refrigafreighters Cold Storage Facility.

As part of the Sustainable Steel Council (SSC), this green star build supports our commitment to the circular economy and New Zealand’s low-emissions future.

We are incredibly proud of our workshop and site teams for not only delivering the project ahead of schedule but also for their exceptional teamwork and dedication.

A big shoutout and appreciation to the Calder Stewart team and Tainui Group Holdings for the immaculate site and teamwork that contributed to the safe and successful installation of the structure.

Big thanks to D&H Steel Construction ltd for hosting the WSF team at their incredible facility! It was truly inspiring to see firsthand the strength of our partnership and what we can achieve together.

Since 2015, WSF and D&H Steel have been in business side by side, supporting each other every step of the way. This collaboration has allowed us to deliver the best quality and service to our clients, making a real impact in our industries.

We also had the special opportunity to celebrate some long service awards from WSF and D&H, highlighting the dedication and commitment of our teams.

With WSF's capacity and experience to supply large-scale projects, coupled with D&H Steel's expertise and support, we are poised to continue delivering excellence in every endeavor.

For many years Waikato Steel Fabricators have been doing work at The University of Waikato. Whether working on small projects or large-scale endeavours, like the recently completed The Pā. A decade ago, WSF and the Naylor Love team joined forces to lay the structural steel for the iconic Te Awa Mall at The Base in Hamilton. Today, we’re thrilled to work with Naylor Love again at the iconic Te AWA!

Yesterday’s "The Panama Assembly" panel discussion was an inspiring event! Matt Stark posed insightful questions to a remarkable panel, including Ben Inger (Planner, Monocle), Tane Cox (Architectural Designer, Red Architecture), and Vanessa Williams (General Manager, Hamilton Central Business Association).

It was truly motivating to witness such a strong commitment from professionals dedicated to shaping the future of Hamilton and the Waikato. While there's still work to be done in creating a truly inspiring collective vision, the passion and cooperation on display were very promising.
