Backing our industry, from the forum to the fairway.

Our two recent sponsorships put industry knowledge and good causes in the spotlight. We supported the Minerals West Coast Forum again this year and the CCNZ - Canterbury Westland Branch & IOQ Charity Golf Day, which raised funds for MATES in Construction, the Prostate Cancer Foundation and the Breast Cancer Foundation.

Thanks to the organisers for bringing everyone together. It's great to get behind the industries we work alongside.

Another blocked pump. Another strip-down.

At Silver Fern Farms in Pareora, hay and silage in the sheep washdown wastewater were causing weekly pump blockages.

Prime put a Tsurumi BN Series submersible cutter pump to work, cutting through fibrous material before it could wrap around the impeller.

The result? No more weekly pump strip-downs, and more time for the maintenance team to get on with other jobs.

The lowest pump hire rate doesn't always mean the lowest cost on the job.

We had back-to-back call outs to replace other hire pumps on site last week due to failure or poor specification. Unplanned changeovers add time and cost to a job.

Prime's hire fleet is modern, serviced and checked before every despatch. Our team are dewatering and water treatment specialists - so if you've asked for a pump that we're not sure will do the job, we'll make sure to flag it and recommend the best fit.

The water turned up a little earlier than planned on this one.

During a recent Freedom Pools South Island installation in Canterbury, groundwater started coming into the excavation before the base was ready and the pool shell could go in.

With work still to do below ground, Prime got to work with a simple well pointing set up to keep the groundwater under control - the Freedom team out of the drink while they worked!

A simple dewatering setup that kept the excavation workable and the job moving.

Congratulations to Kane Towler from Masterton District Council, the winner of our Water NZ 2026 prize pack!

Kane was one of more than 1,800 people from across New Zealand’s water sector who came together in Hamilton for this year’s conference.

It was a great opportunity for our team to catch up with customers and see the broader picture about what’s happening for wastewater, stormwater and water infrastructure in New Zealand.

Thanks to everyone who stopped by Stand 144 over the three days, and congratulations again, Kane. We hope you enjoy the prize!

It takes around 12 minutes just to walk this temporary sewer bypass from end to end.

That’s around 870 metres of pipework running through Gisborne, keeping wastewater moving while work takes place on the network.

Along the route, 10 road ramps and 12 pedestrian ramps keep traffic and pedestrians moving over the pipework.

Fewer blockages. Fewer alarms. Less time spent clearing pumps.

Two wastewater applications, two different challenges — recurring blockages in Tauranga and peak wet-weather flows in Warkworth.

Both are now running Hidrostal BN3 pumps, with the screw centrifugal impeller designed to give solids and fibrous material a clear passage through the pump.

The result? A 95% reduction in blockage and overload alarms in Tauranga, and zero reported issues in Warkworth.
