A new home for Idea-China!
Our Idea-China operation has recently moved into a new office in Shenzhen, giving Winston and the team more space to support the products we design, develop and manufacture with our clients.
Idea Developments’ core business is product design and development, and Idea-China is an extension of that capability, giving our New Zealand team a direct, day-to-day connection with manufacturing throughout the development process.
Our relationship with Winston dates back to 2010, and over that time he has become an important part of how we connect design and development in New Zealand with manufacturing capability in China.
That connection gives us practical DFM input while products are still being developed, helping us make informed decisions around materials, manufacturing processes, tooling, specialist suppliers and cost before key details are locked in.
It also provides continuity into tooling, sampling, production, quality and ongoing supply.
For us, that continuity is important. It helps ensure the products we design are not only well considered from a design and user perspective, but are also fit for manufacture, commercially realistic and supported through to production.
