Are your seed discs still cutting it?🌾

If the wear isn’t as obvious as in these photos, grab a tape measure. 📏🧐

Measuring the diameter of your current disc and comparing it to a new one is a good place to start, as there’s no blanket rule for the best time to change your discs. Different brands have different guidelines — for instance, Horsch recommends replacement after around 12 mm of wear.

Why does it matter?🤔

Once seed discs lose their cutting edge, they stop doing the job they were designed to do. Not to mention, worn discs make your machine work harder and put unnecessary strain on the surrounding, more expensive components – such as bearings. The repair bill could add up.

While it’s in the shed for Winter, it's the perfect time to check over your machine and get it ready for Spring.
