Today we shared our 1H26 half year results, demonstrating discipline and focus in a challenging market.

𝐊𝐞𝐲 𝐡𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐥𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭𝐬:
𝐆𝐫𝐨𝐰𝐭𝐡 𝐢𝐧𝐯𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬 𝐝𝐞𝐥𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐯𝐚𝐥𝐮𝐞: The highlight of the six-month result was the outperformance of the Perry Metal Protection galvanising business acquired in May 2025. This was a measured and strategic buy at the bottom of the cycle and it has done exactly what we wanted: providing consistent high value earnings throughout the cycle.

𝐁𝐚𝐥𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐬𝐡𝐞𝐞𝐭 𝐝𝐢𝐬𝐜𝐢𝐩𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐞: We’re controlling the balance sheet closely and staying disciplined on cash, inventory and working capital. Our focus is on rebuilding our balance sheet capacity following the acquisition of Perry Metal and other growth investments while carefully repositioning towards higher value products and services.

𝐏𝐫𝐢𝐦𝐞𝐝 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐮𝐩𝐬𝐢𝐝𝐞 𝐚𝐬 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐜𝐲𝐜𝐥𝐞 𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐧𝐬: Steel & Tube is primed for the cycle upside. Being trusted with someone’s 'precious cargo' is something special. It’s what our drivers do every day - so some young enthusiasts were in good hands when they recently hit the road with Aaron (left) and Darryl (right), two of our awesome drivers.

Ōmokoroa Point School auctioned off a truck ride for their fundraiser, Eddie and Tabby were the lucky winners! Our drivers rolled up for pickup and were greeted by the whole school waiting to watch the trucks arrive. The kids climbed through the cabs, asked a hundred questions and had a morning they won’t forget.
