STIHL Shop Dunedin on Tour!

After a busy couple of days of learning, training and all things STIHL, it was time to swap the classroom for a little Auckland adventure!

Tonight, we jumped on the ferry and headed into the city for a wander around the City of Sails. No trip to Auckland would be complete without a visit to the iconic Sky Tower!

And it turns out you can take the mechanic out of the workshop, but you can't take the workshop out of the mechanic! With Daniel checking the structural integrity of the Sky Tower to make sure it meets his approval!

And dinner? Served by a ROBOT! 🤖 Now that's something you don't see every day in Dunedin!

Tomorrow, it's goodbye Auckland and back to the mainland (aka the South Island 😉), with heads full of new knowledge, fresh ideas and plenty to put into practice at STIHL Shop Dunedin.

It's been an awesome couple of days learning, connecting and being part of such an amazing STIHL network. We can't wait to bring that knowledge home and put it to work for our customers!

DAY TWO OF GOLD TRAINING — DONE!

Another day of learning, sharing knowledge and levelling up! While Daniel was busy in the classroom with a great bunch of guys alongside him, Michelle hit the road to visit STIHL Shop Westgate, STIHL Shop Glenfield, and STIHL Shop Botany.

It’s days like these that remind us just how lucky we are to be part of such an amazing STIHL network. From the people sharing their knowledge in the classroom to the friendly faces welcoming us into their stores, the support and connection across the network is something pretty special.

Feeling very grateful to be part of the STIHL family! 🧡

One more day to go!

A little look behind the scenes at STIHL NZ!

Today was all about learning, building knowledge and getting hands-on!

Daniel has officially completed his STIHL Gold Level Battery Technician Training 💪, with Gold Level Petrol Technician Training up next tomorrow!

Meanwhile, Michelle has been getting a glimpse behind the scenes, learning more about STIHL NZ, meeting the awesome people and discovering all the different roles that help keep everything ticking along for dealers like us.

It’s been a fantastic opportunity to learn, connect and gain a greater appreciation for the amazing team working behind the brand we’re proud to represent. 🧡

A huge thanks to the STIHL NZ team for the warm welcome, support and sharing their knowledge with us!

Daniel is levelling up with STIHL Gold Level Battery & Petrol Technician Training.

Michelle is heading behind the scenes to learn more about what makes STIHL tick.

Two different adventures, one goal — bringing more knowledge and expertise back to our customers!

🧡 MEET THE TEAM — SOPHIE! 🧡

Meet Sophie, the newest member of our STIHL Shop Dunedin team!

While Sophie might be new to the team, the forestry world certainly isn’t new to her. She’s grown up in and around the industry, spending school holidays alongside Daniel — in the workshop, out in the bush and on customers’ farms, helping get machinery back up and running. 🔧

Sophie is also a part of a local forestry company’s rural fire crew and, after leaving school, went on to study Business.

Now she’s bringing that background into her new role, learning our systems and processes, finding her feet and becoming an important part of the day-to-day running of the shop.

We’re excited to support Sophie as she builds her knowledge, grows in confidence and becomes an even bigger part of the team.

Welcome aboard!

Next time you’re in the shop, come and say hello and help us make Sophie feel welcome!

🐾 MEET THE TEAM — TED! 🐾

And of course, no Meet the Team series would be complete without our very important Customer Relations Manager — Ted!

Ted takes his role very seriously. You’ll find him around the shop greeting customers, supervising the team, keeping an eye on operations and strategically positioning himself for maximum belly rubs.

He’s also a firm believer in the importance of regular staff breaks — particularly the ones that involve a well-earned nap on company time!

Ted may not know the difference between a chainsaw and a line trimmer, but he certainly knows how to make our customers feel welcome.

So next time you’re in the shop, make sure you say hello to Ted — although there’s a good chance he’ll expect a belly rub in return! 🐾

And just when you thought you’d met the whole team… 👀

We have a new team member joining us on Monday!

We’re excited to welcome them to the STIHL Shop Dunedin family and will introduce them properly once they’ve survived their first day!

Stay tuned…
