This is the first custom built patching unit we have recently completed & delivered to Downer in Wainui.
It has on board heating of the insulated body & emulsion tank.
Hand lance at the rear of the truck. Plate compactor lifter & wheel barrow lifter.

It's been a while since I have been busy on here, but we have been very busy in the new Reid Engineering Trout River NZ work shop.
This is the latest truck we have built that left yesterday afternoon.
Thanks to Jeds Limited who is based in christchurch. It's a 2013 Mack Metroliner 10x4 with a tare weight of only 12.4t which means it can cart 16.6t.
Look forward to seeing some action photos in front of the paver.

Reid Engineering Limited TA Trout River NZ are looking for full time experienced welder/fabricator to join our existing team.

We are based in Kaikorai Valley Dunedin.
Our company builds Trout River Live Bottom trucks and Trailers and other general engineering and maintenance on heavy machinery.

We are looking for the following attributes:
* a qualified or experienced welder/fabricator engineer.
* experience in the use of using a brake press and lathe would be an advantage.
* must be confident in working unsupervised as required.
* must have a strong work ethic and good attention to detail.
* must be able to read plans.

Trout River New Zealand have now delivered the 5 axle trailer being towed by the Scania R500 8x4. A huge thanks to Wokatu Holdings for the opportunity to build such a great unit. Thanks to John, Robyn & the team.

Trout River New Zealand would like to thank WOKATU HOLDINGS for taking delivery of the biggest rigid unit we have done. Fitted to an R500 Scania 8x4. Keep your eyes peeled for this unit when finished as we are currently building a 5 axle trailer for it. Based in Southland. Trout River units are now in most regions around the country.

Trout River New Zealand would like to thank Downer for their continued support. This new Isuzu FVZ1400 auto was shortened to accommodate a Trout River live bottom body fitted with a 10 gate remote controlled chip spreader. This unit will be in the Wellington area.
