We were engaged by Hope and Sons Funeral Directors of Dunedin to manufacture a special addition to one of their fleet. A rear deck, with a central telescoping centre section, to alleviate back strain, over the tail door, and also a special lift function to allow the special load to be viewed. This was a special project that uses a very ingenious lift function. All three elements, the structure, the centre section, plus the lift system, were all designed to be kept within a strict 100mm minimum height to ensure a low loading height. This was a fantastic project and called on a number of skills.
