A bit of a major announcement from me. After running Southern Classic Spares full time for the last 7 years, it’s time for a complete career change & at my ripe old age of 41, I will be starting a full-time Bachelors Degree in Primary Education from June 15th complete with a student loan! Having two young children myself, I have thoroughly enjoyed coaching junior sports teams over the past few years & have a genuine passion for teaching & guiding our younger Tamariki in New Zealand.

Rest assured, we are not closing down! Nothing will change at Southern Classic Spares except that it will not be manned business hours during the day. Orders will be still be dispatched on a daily basis & e-mail enquiries will be responded to. As I won’t be earning an income while I am studying, I will need your support more than ever. Thank you to each & every one of you for your loyalty, business & support & we look forward to your orders coming through the website & seeing your projects on the road! 🤙

Happy New Year! Hope everyone had an enjoyable time with family & friends & those resolutions for getting the car or cars on the road are off to a great start!

Just a reminder that we are back on Monday 5th to dispatch orders placed over the break. We will be working reduced hours due to school holidays but daily orders should still be dispatched as long as they are received before 3pm 🤙

Sad news, we have just found out that Neil Penman the author of “University on the Hill” The History of Todd Park book has passed away at age 94 in Wellington.

He wrote & documented the history of the Todd Brothers where they started in Heriot in West Otago to establishing Todd Motor Industies in Petone & then expanding to the empire Todd Park in Porirua where they became New Zealand’s largest automotive manufacturer/assembly plants.

A fantastic read even for the non motoring enthusiast, we are lucky to have the last 10x copies from the 2nd print release. Extremely rare & can only be read in the archives at your local public library, I highly recommend keeping this one on the bookshelf.
