Tow and Fert

Tow and Fert Tow and Fert is the most versatile sprayer in the world. Tow and Fert is a versatile machine with quick return on investment.

Dissolve & apply granular fert as liquid, biologicals, seeds, trace elements and ultra fine particles all at the same time in water or slurry effluent.

No matter the time of year the Tow and Fert range of Liquid Foliar Spray machines offers Farmers versatility and usability in their Nutrient Management programme. Tow and Fert will dissolve your solid U

rea in it’s tank, keep Ultra Fine Particle Fertilisers suspended in liquid and even allow you to spray w**d spray and the small seeds your pasture needs. Spraying your fertiliser on your pasture, crops, or plants with a Tow and Fert will help you reduce the amount of fertiliser you require through greater efficiency. The leaves use the fertiliser that lands on the foliage to grow and a lot less fert is lost into the environment, reducing the amount you require and saving you money.

Looking to combat rising fertiliser prices while building healthier, more resilient soils?

Foliar and fine particle inputs can be a really powerful tool in reducing input costs while maintaining production, improving soil health, and giving yourself more flexibility in how you manage your pasture and soil.

Come see us at Mystery Creek Fieldays, Site D65. We'll show you how the Tow and Fert works, and share how farmers are using it to:

- Grow more with less N
- Apply animal health products like mag-oxide and lime
- Handle fine particle products like gypsum, lime flour, dolomite, humates and biochar
- Apply compost extracts, fish, seaw**d, molasses, effective microbes and worm juice
- Over-sow small seeds like clover, chicory and plantain

All in the same pass.

Good write up on different fertiliser applicators by NZ Rural Contractor & Large Scale Farmer 👌great to see the Multi 4000 in the write up!

"the Tow and Fert Multi 4000 represents more than a machine. It reflects a shift in fertiliser thinking from volume to precision, from bulk distribution to targeted application, and from separate processes to integrated systems designed to make every kilogram of nutrient count."

Fertiliser technology is increasingly moving toward precision delivery rather than simple bulk spreading. Liquid and suspension systems are gaining traction because they allow nutrients, biologicals and trace elements to be applied more accurately and at lower rates, improving efficiency while reducing waste.

The Tow and Fert Multi 4000 sits firmly within that transition, built as a high-capacity liquid fertiliser system designed to combine mixing, transport and application into one integrated machine.

Another great video from R&J Agri Ltd on how traditional granular urea applications can impact soil biology, and how a 'less more often' approach can be a more cost effective and microbe friendly way to maintain DM production.

Farmers Weekly recently shared how Geoff Homer, a UK based farmer switched to dissolving his own urea and spraying it on as a foliar with his Tow and Fert. He’s been able to back off the bagged N and still keep the grass growing.

Using nitrogen in a more efficient way to maintain production - all while reducing use of one of the largest input costs on farm.

Keen to see if foliar could work on your place? Flick us a message and we can run some rough numbers for your farm or line up a demonstration.

Great tips from Rudi at R&J Agri Ltd on reducing nitrogen use in times where we encounter rising input costs (and any time to be honest). Give them a watch & follow them for more tips on not only input management but testing/measuring as well.

Can you believe this chicory paddock was sown with a Tow and Fert sprayer?

Trevor Stammers from VIC, Australia applied it on the 5th of November 2025 with his Tow and Fert Multi 1200, and now (pictured) in April 2026 it's on it's 3rd grazing already.

No Glyphosate used - just ripped, rotary hoed, then chicory applied through the Tow and Fert at 16.5kg to the hectare. Seed was soaked for 4 hrs in the tank pre-application. Then it was rolled after application.

Thanks for sending that in Trevor looks like good tucker!

If you're interested in a sprayer that can do everything, from reducing your fert bill, applying biological inputs, to suspending and spraying the trickiest of inputs without blocking. Tow and Fert is the sprayer for you. Just reach out in the comments or flick us a message for a free demo or an info-pack.

UK farmer Geoff Homer shares his experience moving to the Tow and Fert system.

For milling wheat Polymer liquid urea over £2 a litre.
Dissolving urea through the Tow and Fert: 70p a litre.

Geoff reckons the machine fully paid for itself in the first 12 months from fertiliser savings alone. And that's before you count the soil health benefits.
