UMC Innovation is excited to introduce Matt Schumann as the newly appointed CEO of UMC Innovation, LLC.
Matt brings over 20 years of leadership experience in the North American agricultural equipment business, and 7 years of experience in the wire industry. His most recent role was Commercial GM of Bekaert's Southeast Asia Steel Wire Solutions business, gaining tremendous exposure to international markets. He brings extensive industry knowledge and leadership skills, making him a valuable addition to our team.
In his capacity as CEO, Matt will be instrumental in steering UMC Innovation towards sustained growth. His focus will extend to overseeing our flagship product, the patented FLM Fence Machine. Notably, this machine is the only fabricated fence machine globally capable of producing two different types of fence knots with a single unit. UMC is also actively developing a diverse portfolio of other wire fence innovations.
Matt will be based in the USA, where we are establishing a North American base in Cheyenne, Wyoming. This facility will concentrate on sales, manufacturing, machine delivery, and after-sales service, solidifying our commitment to effectively serving the Americas.
Simultaneously, we are currently relocating our Christchurch, New Zealand headquarters to a larger facility, underscoring our dedication to innovation and engineering excellence. This move ensures we have ample space to continue designing groundbreaking solutions that shape the future of the fencing and wire machinery industries.
