Steel going up and another big step forward on this warehouse project. 🏗️

This week the crew assembled and lifted rafters into place while fitting fly braces and connection lips to keep everything aligned and ready for the next stage.

Great teamwork on site with the crane crew and installers working together to keep the build moving safely and efficiently.

The frame is starting to take shape nicely. 💪

Steel is going up fast, and it’s great to see the project taking shape from the ground up. Huge effort from everyone on site making steady progress safely and efficiently.

A major milestone underway at 81 Buchanans Road 🚧🏗️

With 180 tonnes of steel going into the project, early involvement allowed VIP to secure the critical 760UB jumbo beams from overseas — a key component in keeping this project moving forward successfully.

Proud to be working alongside Hanham & Philp Contractors Ltd on the redevelopment of the site, where Stage 1 will deliver 5 new warehouses to the area. Exciting to see the transformation taking shape.

VIP Steel is growing and we are currently looking for an experienced Steel Tray Decking Personnel to join our team 💥

The role includes installing metal decking systems safely, efficiently, and to a high standard. You will need the ability to Fix decking using stud welding, screw, or shot hired systems and assist with shear stud installations. 💯

We are looking for -
🛠️Proven experience in steel tray decking or similar

🛠️ Ability to install steel tray/metal decking systems

🛠️ Set out and align decking to structural steel

🛠️A high standard of workmanship and a good attention to detail

This role is responsible for operating both mobile and stationary cranes across our yards, project work sites. Including safely lifting, moving, and placing structural steel and equipment.💯

We are looking for -
🏗️ Minimum 2 years + experience operating cranes (both mobile & stationary)

🏗️ Ability to operate cranes with multiple attachments confidently

🏗️ Full, clean Class 4 or Class 5 NZ Drivers' Licence

🏗️Strong understanding of construction safety regulations and lifting practices

Turning into a winter wonderland down south for our Otago team ❄

Our team are bracing the elements to keep the install on track at the Remarkables Ski Resort ready for their new ski season 🏂 🗻 Continuing the new building for the snow plough machines to be serviced and maintained at the ski field & the extension of the cafeteria area. 🦺☕

Otago is a stunning place to be during the winter months and we are pretty stoked to be working on multiple projects throughout the season. Whether they are large commercial buildings or residential builds our team is ready.
