A look inside a Wet Electrostatic Precipitator (WESP) module currently under fabrication.

The hexagonal collecting cells shown in this video form a critical part of the electrostatic collection process used in industrial air pollution control systems.

While much of this structure will never be seen once the equipment is installed, fabrication accuracy and alignment play an important role in overall system performance.

This project demonstrates the close relationship between engineering design and precision manufacturing in the delivery of large-scale environmental control equipment.

A major WESP project currently underway in the Ta**us Engineering workshop.

Working alongside our sister company Fowlerex Technologies, Ta**us is fabricating six stainless steel Wet Electrostatic Precipitator (WESP) modules for a building materials manufacturing facility in New South Wales, Australia. Each module stands approximately 11 metres high when assembled and weighs around 18 tonnes when shipped.

While projects of this scale are well within Ta**us Engineering's capabilities, maintaining fabrication quality across the hexagonal cell assemblies presents a particular challenge. Despite the size of the equipment, dimensional tolerances of approximately 1mm are required throughout key areas of the construction.

These projects rely on careful planning, precision fabrication, and close attention to detail throughout every stage of the manufacturing process.

What a great milestone to see the Switchback adventure ride demo track brought to life last week, with the team at Holmes Solutions hosting clients and project partners on site.

Ta**us was proud to support this project through the fabrication of the structural steel framework, contributing to the overall build and final result.

Thank you to Holmes Solutions for the generous hospitality and for bringing everyone together to celebrate the project. It was a fantastic opportunity to experience the track firsthand and see the outcome of a strong collaborative effort.

Carbon steel plays a critical role in many of our projects we deliver. From structural frameworks and platforms to pipe supports and heavy industrial components. Its strength and versatility make it a reliable choice across a wide range of systems.

Progress is coming together well on the Cromwell Project 💧🛠️

Ta**us has been on site supporting the fitout of the Cromwell Water Treatment Plant, with installation of the stainless-steel pipework now nearing completion. In these photos you can see the main pipe systems are largely in place, with the final connections and finishing work underway.

This stage is a key milestone in integrating the existing borewells with the new treatment facility which will strengthen long-term performance and reliability for the region.

Our team is making great progress on a major Wet Electrostatic Precipitator upgrade, with the fabrication of the stainless-steel slide gates and dampers complete, the team is now onto the fabrication of the WESPs.

Seeing everything take shape is exciting, knowing the finished system will support cleaner emissions and long-term reliability.
