These prizes are heading to Outram School for their Pet Day next Friday 🐑🐄

We received a handwritten letter from one of the students asking if we could help with a prize for the day. It was beautifully written and told us everything that makes Pet Day great: the mystery jars, the baby lambs and calves, gumboot throwing, raffles and food stalls. You just don’t get letters like that anymore, so it was an easy yes.

Jenni, our Mosgiel Branch Manager, has also put her hand up to judge Best Dressed Pet on the day, so we’re looking forward to seeing what the pets turn up in!

From 22 bails to 36 👉 Readale's herringbone shed got a full upgrade over the winter off-season.

Our team extended the existing shed and set the farm up for more capacity, better efficiency and room to grow.

The project included:

Full milking shed extension
Electric cup removers
Updated pulsators
Walk-over teat sprayer
Auto drafting gate
Upgraded vacuum and milk pumps
New milk lines
Extended yard
New Hecton grain feeding system and silo

The result is a smarter, more efficient dairy that improves cow flow, streamlines milking and makes everyday jobs easier for the Readale team.
