Thermosash is known for successfully delivering large-scale vertical commercial facade projects that feature high-performance glazed curtain walling, rainscreen and complex design features - however, Thermosash's capabilities naturally extend to smaller health‑sector buildings because these facilities require the same innovative high-performance standards.

The Mauri Ora Acute Mental Health Unit in Rotorua is an inpatient facility assisting people with addictions and related mental health needs. The building has been designed to ensure the safe care of patients as well as work safety for staff. Thermosash's facade delivery included our PW1000-TB thermally broken curtainwall to the main entrance and courtyards, our DeltaGurad windows to the bedrooms and courtyards, installation of an auto slider and our Delta Commercial doors.

Thermosash's DeltaGuard window suite has been specifically developed for low to medium security requirements with preventative safety measures such as anti-ligature, high impact resistance, weaponry deterrent and the ability to quickly replace window glass if required. The Hawke’s Bay Museum Research and Archive Centre was formerly handed over by GEMCO and RTA to the Museum operations team in September 2025. The centre is designed to meet global museum standards to preserve and protect the region’s extensive collection of ancestral taonga, artefacts, and historical records. Thermosash is proud to be a part of this significant regional project - our facade solution prioritises airtightness and sustainability with our low carbon thermally broken PW1000-TB200 aluminium and glazed curtainwall suite.

In November 2025 Massey University School of Veterinary Sciences in Palmerston North opened Ngā Huia, which is the final building forming part of its new state-of-the-art student learning complex. The Huia bird is the inspiration for the design that is thoughtfully reflected in the yellow-coloured glazing and facade elements, as well as the bold frit pattern glazing.

Thermosash delivered the glazed curtainwall, integrated louvres, windows, doors, sliders, channel glazing, and the Sheetmetal cladding for the decorative Pou in collaboration with Studio 3 Architecture and McMillan Lockwood.

Being part of creating durable, resilient and future-focused educational facilities that will benefit generations of students is a privilege and reflects Thermosash's core purpose to Build Futures.

Tupuarāngi University of Canterbury accommodation facility is nearing completion and will be a very welcoming and modern home-from-home for first-year students.

Thermosash delivered the striking unitised thermally broken curtainwall integrated with opening sashes and folded aluminium feature panels in four different colours, and the thermally broken punch windows with opening sashes to the central link bridge.

The Punangairi Visitor Experience Centre rises out of the natural environment at Dolomite Point with sustainable elegance. The Visitor Centre recently won the 2025 John Scott Award for Public Architecture - congratulations to Sheppard & Rout for their exemplary architectural excellence.

Thermosash and Woods Glass are proud to have delivered the facade solutions for this significant cultural project including 8m H x 1.8m W glass panes. Further facade solutions include our Thermosash high performance curtainwall suite PW1000, doors, windows, channel glazing and rainscreen cladding.

The visitor centre provides high quality educational and cultural experiences and supports the local economy.

The New Zealand International Convention Centre (NZICC), located in the heart of Auckland's CBD, has reached practical completion; it has been handed over to SkyCity Entertainment Group by Fletcher Building. The planned opening is in February 2026.

Congratulations to all stakeholders for staying the course and overcoming the numerous challenges of this complex project.

Thermosash and Woods Glass are proud to be part of this project, including the delivery of the ninety-eight 9m glass fins and 500 panels featuring Sara Hughes beautiful artwork integrated into the high performance Thermosash unitised curtainwall. The building is an eye-catching feature and will become an iconic part of Auckland CBD.

Taranaki Base Hospital's new East Wing called NEWB houses the Maternity, Neonatal, Radiology, ICU and Emergency Department along with other clinical services. On the rooftop is a helicopter pad. This project forms part of the redevelopment of the original 1950s campus. The NEWB building is estimated to be completed by the end of 2025.

Thermosash delivered a Total Clad facade solution with High Performance Curtainwall and integrated Aluminium ThermoPlank extruded in a variety of different profiles, mechanical louvres, skylights, channel glazing, rooftop plant screens and a glazed linked bridge.

Celebrate with us!

Thermosash is honoured to have received the Excellence in Facade Sustainability Award for our joint submission with Jasmax of the University of Auckland B201 project at the 2025 Zak Awards for Excellence in Facade Design & Engineering - Australasia, on the 18th of September.

The award exemplifies the highest standards in sustainable design and construction within the discipline of facades, celebrating architectural and engineering innovation that promotes environmental responsibility and showcases aesthetic design.

B201 is an adaptive reuse project which stands as a world-class innovative example of sustainability and excellence accomplished through collaboration.

We thank the teams who worked on this project, from concept to completion, you each had a hand in its ultimate success.

Century on Anzac is an adaptive reuse project that successfully contributes to urban regeneration in Auckland CBD.
The 50m, 14 level high-rise apartment building was originally constructed in 2004. The building was experiencing facade remedial issues and required a full reclad and refurbishment. Thermosash delivered a total clad solution.

Thermosash’s PW1000 High Performance curtainwall was selected for its seamless integration with high performance sliding doors, opening sashes and the Renson Anzac High Rise Acoustically Attenuated Passive Ventilator. The Renson Anzac ventilator is designed specifically for high-rise dwellings providing makeup air and passive airflow even when the windows and sliders are shut, as well as acoustic attenuation and IANZ tested weathertightness performance.

The original terraces were enclosed by curtainwall, substantially increasing the apartments' internal square meterage and creating more functional living space, whist the high-performance bi-parting sliding doors and Juliet balustrades maintain a sense of openness, natural light and airflow.
