Gold Dealer - Pass Tray and Viewing Window
Dealers in precious metals and jewellery are a natural target for criminals but need to provide ready access to the public to do business. Requisite recently installed an R2 ballistic rated window and pass tray in the secure reception lobby for a Gold Dealer. The stainless steel framed window featured a system (known as SWITCHSHIELD®) which allowed it to be changed from obscure to clear at the touch of a button and incorporated a secure pass tray.
Coupled with CCTV and secure electronic access control, the pass tray and viewing window, provided the client with a very high level of security whilst allowing easy access for legitimate customers.

Kainga Ora State Housing Complex – Anti Jump Screen – May 2021
The St Georges Road State Housing development in Avondale consisted of 102 homes and included a multi-purpose community room, landscaping, shared green space and a tenancy office.
In May 2021, Requisite completed the installation of an Anti Jump Screen for the tenancy office. The brief was to design, build and install an aesthetically pleasing, functional anti jump screen to protect the tenancy office staff.
The finished installation consisted of horizontal panes of opaque 14mm security laminate fixed in powder coated steel posts which provided a good level of security without appearing obtrusive.

Server Safe Room – May 2021
Requisite were approached by an internationally recognized organisation (who will remain unnamed for obvious reasons) based in Wellington. The brief was to design, build and install a secure safe room to protect their main server. The consequences of unauthorised access to the server would potentially run to millions of dollars in lost revenue and significant damage to the organisation’s brand and reputation.
This was a classic blank canvas assignment which resulted in a bespoke kitset design featuring the latest electronic multipoint locking systems, integrated with existing security. The full package included lighting and air conditioning.
The safe room provided ready access and comfortable working space for authorised personnel but was built to withstand sustained attack by intruders and prevent access by unauthorised staff, with closely monitored security systems.

Mansons TCLM Head Office Doors –Auckland - February 2021.
Mansons is New Zealand’s largest private development business with a reputation for the construction of trail blazing iconic green star buildings. In designing their own head office, Mansons wanted to make a statement and Requisite were awarded the contract to manufacture and install distinctive doors to the main entrance and in several other important areas of the building.
The triple front lobby doors were 3.7 metres tall, double glazed with a minimal steel frame and balanced on Frits-Jurgens door hardware. Requisite were selected because of their experience and willingness to accept the technical challenges associated with the construction and installation of these massive doors.

Britomart Station – Ballistic ticket windows – December 2020.
Woods Glass is providing glazing solutions for the City Rail Link Britomart Development and contracted Requisite with the manufacture, supply and installation of ballistic resistant stainless steel framed ticket windows.
The challenge on this project was to provide ticket staff with a very high level of protection which was functional, discreet and attractive. Protection was provided by ballistic rated glass from Glasshape Ltd which required a team of 4 glaziers to install. The polished stainless steel frames and screws presented a stylish finish.

Mount Eden Correctional Facility – Accommodation C - for the past 2 years we have been immersed in the supply installation and glazing of 2,400 items of steel joinery to provide the necessary security requirements of this new cellblock. We acknowledge the helpful leadership of Leighs Construction Ltd in achieving the completion of this project. Currently undergoing final checks this cellblock will be a great addition to the current facility, oblivious to most, in the heart of Auckland CBD.

Mount Eden Correctional Facility – Accommodation C

Requisite has been working with Leighs Construction on the construction of the new accommodation block at Mount Eden Prison, comprising some 245 cells on 7 floors.

The structure is nearing completion and Requisite has manufactured and installed cell windows and other pre-cast items in a timely manner. The project is scheduled for completion late next year.

Projector TV Housing

On 20 June 2018, Requisite was asked to come up with a design for a Projector TV housing as part of the refurbishment at a Government Custodial Facility. Due to last minute upgrades, the design, manufacture and installation was required by the time the facility reopened in 2 weeks.

Graeme Knowles, who has a reputation for delivering unique solutions to problems out of left field, came up with a design which met demanding specifications for this high security environment and had the unit manufactured and installed in 10 days.

The client was so impressed with the end product that 3 more were immediately ordered for separate locations.

Maritime Building – Conservatory Extension Completed

Construction of the steel joinery for a conservatory extension on the Maritime Building at 130 Quay Street, part of the prestigious Britomart Precinct is now completed. The design and installation of an innovative system using Linak Actuators to remotely raise and lower 4 meter wide vertically sliding sashes is a first of its kind in New Zealand.

Britomart Developers, Cooper and Company are the clients for this construction project and brought Requisite New Zealand in for this contract following their successful completion of the steel joinery work at Tiffany’s Jewelers last year.
