Here's something most people don't realise - "anti-slip" is a marketing claim, not a compliance standard. 🙅

In New Zealand, the only recognised way to verify a floor's slip resistance is through the Pendulum Test Method, tested to NZS 4586 (new surfaces) or NZS 4663 (existing surfaces). Without that independent result, there's no way to know if a product actually performs where it matters most.

A certified test result doesn't just protect the people using your space. It protects you too.

Under NZS 4586 and NZS 4663, the environment drives the minimum classification. Wet areas, ramps, pool surrounds, and external walkways all require different ratings, measured using the Pendulum Test Method, NZ's industry standard.
