This compact airfreight shipment from WIKUS contains 200 metres of premium bandsaw blade steel.

Inside are:

🔹 100 metres of WIKUS FUTURA SN TCT blade steel
🔹 100 metres of WIKUS PRIMAR M42 bi-metal blade steel

Based on our current retail metre rates, the TCT stock represents $16,900 in finished blade-length value, while the bi-metal adds another $2,890.

That is a total retail metre value of $19,790 in three surprisingly slim packages.

The 20mm × 0.90mm, 18 TPI bi-metal is a less-common specification we already carry, but recent demand has increased, so it was time to replenish our stock.

The shipment was compact enough to bring in by air and important enough not to leave until our next large sea order.

Maintaining a wide range of premium blade steel requires a substantial investment, but it helps us provide consistent local supply and manufacture urgently required bandsaw blades without waiting months for material to arrive.

THE SWEDISH WORKOUT HAS ARRIVED 💪

First came leg day, with two pallets of No.7 meat-blade cartons carried upstairs.

Then came two pallets containing 35 kilometres of European meat bandsaw blade steel.

Now the Swedish heavyweights have arrived—three pallets of Håkansson bi-metal bandsaw blade coil.

Darcy immediately claimed the best seat and took charge of incoming inspection. 🐶

This premium blade steel will be cut, welded and finished here in our Auckland factory, ready for engineering workshops and manufacturers throughout New Zealand.

At this point, working at United Products probably qualifies as a gym membership.

Two pallets. 35 kilometres of meat bandsaw blade steel!

Our latest shipment of European meat blade coil has just arrived—enough blading to stretch for 35 km.

It will all be cut, welded and finished here in our Auckland factory, ready for butchers, supermarkets, food processors and home meat saws throughout New Zealand.

That should keep Luka busy for a while!

📦 LEG DAY HAS RETURNED 📦

Another shipment of meat bandsaw blade boxes has arrived at United Products — this time, two full pallets.

The manufacturer calls them “No. 7” boxes. We call them “50 boxes” because each one holds 50 meat bandsaw blades.

The good news? We now have plenty of packaging ready to go.

The bad news? Someone still has to get it all upstairs… 💪😅

Today’s production schedule has once again been expanded to include:

🏋️ Box lifting
🏋️ Cardboard handling endurance training

No gym membership required.
