When did you last have a look through our Bandsaw Guides?

We’ve had a few conversations recently that reminded us just how many everyday bandsaw questions we’ve already covered in our Guides.

In fact, when customers call or email us for technical advice, quite often part of our answer is simply to point them to one of these guides — they’ve been built around the questions and sawing problems we regularly encounter.

There’s information on choosing the right blade and TPI, feeds and speeds, troubleshooting, blade life, reading your swarf and plenty more.

Even experienced operators may find something useful that helps make the next cut a little better.

Apparently we have a YouTube channel now.

Over the years we've accumulated quite a few videos of what actually goes on at United Products — making bandsaw blades, modifying machinery, handling and folding blades, solving common problems and generally doing the things that happen every day in a specialist bandsaw blade factory.

So we've finally gathered them together properly on YouTube.

There's nothing particularly glamorous about it. It's mostly real footage of real people making real bandsaw blades in our Auckland factory.

And, somewhat surprisingly, people seem to be watching it.

We'll add more when something interesting happens and we remember to point a phone at it. The occasional appearance by Darcy may also occur. She has no relevant bandsaw qualifications.

No promises of weekly episodes, influencers or unboxing videos.

We make bandsaw blades. That's still the point.
