Sometimes it’s not just about bolting on parts - it’s about setting the whole package up properly.
This Mercury came to us needing a bit more than a standard service.
We found:
▪ Engine mounted too low on the transom
▪ Propeller not matched to the hull and application
▪ Full service overdue
▪ Worn throttle and shift cables requiring replacement
We raised the engine, fitted a prop better suited to the boat, completed a full genuine service, and replaced the control cables to get everything performing the way it should.
Every boat is different, and getting the engine height, propeller selection and setup right can make a huge difference to performance, fuel economy and overall drivability.
If your boat doesn’t feel like it’s performing as it should, it may not need more horsepower - it might just need the right setup.
