It has been a busy/stressful few weeks for everyone at Wilmech moving our workshop to the new facility, but we are almost setup and officially open.

We’re looking for another Experienced Heavy Diesel Mechanic to join our team.

The Role:
Based out of our Ashburton Workshop, you will work from your own 4x4 service crane truck, carrying out services and repairs both in the field and in the workshop. This will range from working at client’s premises, to attending to breakdowns which occur on the side of the road and also helping out in the busy workshop.
After a trial period, you could essentially “work from home”, organising your own days and reporting back to the workshop manager. This will allow you to work flexible hours which suit you with the added bonus of overtime pay after 50hours per week.

What you need:
• Experience across a broad range of equipment. Inc, plant, farm machinery, trucks and trailers.
• Able to reliably diagnose and repair all kinds of faults. Mechanical, electrical and hydraulic. (Support from the workshop will be available when things get tricky)
• Minimum class 2 driving licence.
• Good communication skills as you will be working directly with the customers.
• Good organisation and record keeping.
