A hybrid intervention at the Sunsari Morang Irrigation Project along the Chatara Main Canal.
A branch canal, which was not extracting sufficient discharge under gravity flow, has been equipped with two small pumping units to supplement water delivery.
This kind of hybrid approach — combining gravity and localized pumping — is relatively new in our context but offers a practical solution where hydraulic conditions limit performance.

Observations:
• Improves water delivery in underperforming branches
• Avoids major structural modifications
• Potentially replicable in similar irrigation systems
It’s always valuable to see how adaptive solutions are being implemented in the field. We hope it's successful completion.
