The Nepal government has revised the "Nepal National Building Code: NBC 105 (NBC 105:2025) ", which is the second revision of the seismic building code of Nepal.

The spectral shape factor for the Equivalent Static Method and for the Modal Response Spectrum Method has been revised to incorporate velocity-sensitive zones, aligning with international building codes, as depicted in the image below: In my opinion, the buildings with vibration periods of less than 2.0 seconds, 1.0 seconds, 0.7 seconds, and 0.5 seconds are not affected by these changes for soil types D, C, B &, and A, respectively.

I am seeking expert opinions regarding the impact of these types of changes on RS on linear static and dynamic analysis.
