Marine Technologies søker IT-tekniker til vårt miljø i Egersund. Her får du praktisk erfaring med IT-drift, brukerstøtte, hardware, software, nettverk og cybersecurity i en internasjonal teknologibedrift.

Vi er åpne for ulike bakgrunner. Du kan være:
• Nyutdannet innen IT eller IKT
• Lærling innen IT-driftsfaget
• Student innen IT eller cybersecurity
• Eller ha praktisk IT-erfaring og ønske å utvikle deg videre

🎉 A proud moment for Marine Technologies!

We are very pleased to congratulate Elias Seglem Levang, who has successfully completed his apprenticeship and earned his trade certificate in Sales, achieving the outstanding result of Passed with Distinction.

Elias also represents an important milestone for Marine Technologies, as he is the first apprentice we have welcomed within the Sales Trade.

Seeing him complete his apprenticeship with such a strong result makes us very proud, both of Elias and of the opportunity to develop young talent within our company.

That’s a wrap on SMM Hamburg 2026! ⚓

Four busy days filled with great conversations, new connections and valuable time with customers, partners and colleagues from across the maritime industry.

SMM once again showed why it is such an important meeting place for our industry – bringing together people, ideas and technologies that are shaping the future of shipping.

For us at Marine Technologies and Green Technologies, it has been a great opportunity to discuss how smarter technology, greener solutions and integrated systems can help create more efficient and sustainable vessels.

In memory of His Majesty King Harald V
1937–2026

Today, Norway has lost its King.

We remember King Harald as a remarkable representative of Norway – a man whose warmth, dignity and genuine interest in people earned him a very special place in the hearts of so many.

This photograph was taken in 1998, when King Harald visited the maritime technology community in Egersund. Here, he is pictured together with Jan Mikalsen, who would later become the founder of Marine Technologies.

For us, this is a treasured photograph from the history and people that shaped the company we are today. On a day like this, it carries particular meaning.

King Harald represented Norway through decades of change, always with a strong sense of duty, humanity and closeness to the people he served.

Our thoughts are with Queen Sonja, the Royal Family, and everyone mourning the loss of a much-loved King.

Thank you, Your Majesty.
Rest in peace.

😎 Last week we brought our summer students along to the career day hosted by Flekkefjord Sparebank and Egersundsregionen.

A nice chance to meet people, learn more about the opportunities in the region, and get a few new perspectives.

We’re lucky to have a great group of summer students with us this year. They are positive, curious and already contributing well!
