2 off 14" MORGRIP® 3000Ri Diverless Connectors were successfully installed in the North Sea as part of a subsea pipeline intervention involving the installation of a new subsea isolation valve.

In this short interview, Chris Matthews, Senior Design Engineer at Connector Subsea Solutions, takes us through the journey from design, Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) and System Integration Testing (SIT) to offshore installation — including how field experience, software support and collaboration feed back into future improvements.

🎥 From workshop to subsea installation - MORGRIP® in action 🌊

2 off 14" MORGRIP® 3000Ri Diverless Connectors were successfully designed, built, tested and supplied by Connector Subsea Solutions (CSS) for the installation of a new subsea isolation valve on an existing pipeline.

Now successfully installed, this video follows the journey from assembly and pressure testing through to preparation for offshore installation.

✅ OPITO H2S Training Complete — Strengthening Our Offshore Readiness 🌊

Our Technicians and Field Service Engineers have successfully completed their latest OPITO H2S training, part of the regular two-year refresher cycle undertaken by our offshore personnel.

The training ensures the team remain familiar with the risks associated with hydrogen sulphide (H2S), including the use of breathing equipment and the emergency procedures required when working in potentially hazardous environments. 🦺

When significant corrosion was found on a 12" main export line off the coast of West Africa, the project required a fast, practical repair approach that could extend asset life without adding unnecessary complexity offshore.

MORGRIP® supplied a 12" 3000S connector, supported by subsea bolt tensioners, a pipe cutting machine, onshore training and installation support. The project was successfully completed within a short 14-week timeframe.
