Juist, Germany – Bell Dredging is currently carrying out dredging operations in the port area, including maintenance dredging of the navigation channel and works around the ferry jetties.

The project is being executed using a Bell Amphibious Excavator 200 in combination with a Bell 200 dredging pump. The excavator is equipped with side pontoons, spud legs, and thrusters, allowing for rapid maneuvering during high tide conditions. This setup enables efficient operations during both low and high tide, maximizing productive working hours throughout every shift.

In addition, dredging activities are ongoing in the yacht harbour under a 24-hour operation, carried out by two Bell operators.

A unique dredging project currently underway in Italy 🇮🇹

For this project the site is only accessible by helicopter, making the mobilisation a challenging operation. A generator was installed onshore, supplying power through approximately 350 meters of cable to a barge where an electrically driven hydraulic powerpack is installed.

The hydraulic powerpack drives a Bell 150 dredge pump together with an electric Bell waterjet pump. The waterjet system is used to loosen the compacted material, allowing the dredge pump to efficiently remove the sediment.

The works are taking place at the intake of a dam, where dredging is being performed at depths between 70 and 80 meters.

The project is still ongoing and progressing well. It demonstrates how Bell Dredging equipment can deliver reliable and efficient dredging solutions, even in challenging and remote environments.

Antwerp – working for TM COTU, carrying out sand removal between tunnel elements for the Oosterweel project.
The operation runs 24/7 and is performed using a Bell 100 pump, including a sand production head, Bell waterjet and a Bell power pack. Two Bell engineers are on site to ensure continuous operations.

The Bell 250 hydraulic power pack is built to drive our Bell 250 dredge pump. This unit, designed and built for our customer Heuvelman Ibis, has a 310 kW Stage V engine, is remote controlled, and can run our Bell 250 on full power for 24 hours on one tank.
