At the dairy farm of Paul Ondersteijn (160 dairy cows 🐄), automation ⚙️ has played an important role for years. It started with manure scrapers. Later, a manure robot and a feed pusher robot were added.

The result: a cleaner barn, more calm in the herd and healthier cows. Because much of the work is done automatically, the barn remains continuously at the right level.

𝗕𝗲𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗲, 𝘄𝗲 𝗰𝗼𝘂𝗹𝗱𝗻’𝘁 𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗹𝗹𝘆 𝗸𝗲𝗲𝗽 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗳𝗹𝗼𝗼𝗿𝘀 𝗰𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗻’

At the dairy farm of the Covens family (350 cows 🐄), cleaning the barn was a daily challenge. Manual cleaning and working with machines took a lot of time, but did not always deliver the desired result.

Since using the 𝙢𝙖𝙣𝙪𝙧𝙚 𝙧𝙤𝙗𝙤𝙩 𝙉𝙖𝙣𝙤, the barn is automatically cleaned 8 to 10 times a day. This ensures:
✔️ Cleaner slatted floors
✔️ Drier cubicles
✔️ Less manure build-up

And Jan Covens notices the difference. ‘We see fewer hoof problems and the hygiene in the barn has clearly improved,’ he says. ‘It also mainly delivers labour savings. Time that we can use for other tasks on the farm.’

Feed pusher robot 𝗠𝗼𝗼𝘃 𝟮𝗣𝗥𝗢: During the day, in the evening and at night, the robot pushes up the feed, so cows always have fresh feed within reach. This results in less sorting at the feed fence, more calm in the herd and a higher feed intake.

And while the robot does its job, you can focus on other tasks. 💚
