European GT Lite Challenge just had the very first race in their existence at Hockenheim!

Rainer Börgens left from pole position and never looked back. He won with a decent margin which provides him good points to start the season.
Paul Maréchal came in second after Nikolaj Ipsen experienced a technical issue.
Our number three, Thierry Verhiest stayed close behind Paul, but wasn't able to overtake him.

In GT-Cup we saw the first win for a Ginetta with Mark Yates at the wheel. Gilles Verhiest secured the second step on the podium where Eric Libor collected the third trophy.

In Open class David Harvey did what he does best with his 340R, he saw himself finishing first, where Nathalie Genoud-Prachex came in second and Jean-Pierre Genoud-Prachex third.

Product saw a winner in Jason McInulty with Robbe Janssens in second position and Mick Edwards in third.

What a great race to start the season! Looking forward to race two later this afternoon.

After many years, Lotus Cup Europe ceased to exist at the end of last year.

However, the organization has continued as the European GT Lite Challenge, where the series is open not only to Lotus sports cars but also to Ginetta, Alpine, and Ligier—all lightweight sports cars that fit perfectly within the same concept.

elise-shop.com wil keep supporting the series as most of the participants are driving Lotus cars.

Hockenheim is the opening round and the first race for the European GT Lite Challenge.

This morning we saw the first free practice session..

They are back!

The original plastic inserts in the Elise S1 often get dull or even start wearing their paint off.
On the Elise S1 111S, Lotus originally described the dash as Carbon Fibre, but on a close look people found out the carbon was actually plastic with a Carbon print.

If you are in for the real deal, these are the panels for your car. They are real carbon fibre, just as used in F1 cars and produced in the same way as well.

All PrePreg autoclaved material..
