Een pomp die op debiet en druk klopt, kan in de praktijk alsnog de verkeerde keuze zijn.

In olie en gas bepalen het medium, de vervuiling en de aanzuigcondities of een pomp betrouwbaar blijft draaien. Is de vloeistof schoon, schurend of viskeus? Zitten er vaste delen in? Is er luchtinslag, of kan de zuigleiding leeglopen? Valt overslag met slangen strippen binnen de scope? En kun je snel bij de pomp voor onderhoud, het liefst bovengronds?

A pump that matches on flow and pressure can still be the wrong choice in practice.

In oil and gas, the medium, contamination and suction conditions decide whether a pump keeps running reliably. Is the liquid clean, abrasive or viscous? Does it carry solids? Is there air entrainment, or can the suction line drain? Are loading, unloading and hose stripping in scope? And can you reach the pump quickly for maintenance, preferably above ground?

One pump for the entire oil and gas chain does not exist.

At a drilling site you move oil, drilling mud and wastewater, often with a suction line that drains. That calls for a self-priming pump that restarts without manual priming. Loading and unloading fuels is about air and vapour handling and hose stripping: the territory of the Roto Prime. Viscous media and dosing need a gear pump with constant, pulse-free flow. And for a turnaround or a remote site, a complete pump set is often the fastest to deploy.

Eén pomp voor de hele olie- en gasketen bestaat niet.

Op een boorlocatie verpomp je olie, boorspoeling en afvalwater, vaak met een aanzuigleiding die leegloopt. Daar wil je een zelfaanzuigende pomp die zonder handmatig vullen weer op gang komt. Bij laden en lossen van brandstoffen draait het om lucht- en dampafvoer en het strippen van slangen: het terrein van de Roto Prime. Viskeuze media en dosering vragen een tandwielpomp met een constante, pulsatievrije flow. En voor een turnaround of een remote locatie is een complete pompset vaak het snelst inzetbaar.

The best pump on paper is not always the best pump in your plant.

Start with the medium: solids content, abrasiveness, viscosity. Then look at duty cycle, flow, head and suction conditions. And ask the question that often decides it: can you place the pump safely above ground and reach the wear parts fast? For mixtures with air and solids, a self-priming pump is the robust choice. For cleaner liquids, a standard centrifugal pump can do the job.

Begin bij het medium: hoeveel deeltjes, hoe abrasief, welke viscositeit. Kijk dan naar de duty cycle, het debiet, de opvoerhoogte en de aanzuigcondities. En stel de vraag die vaak beslist: kun je de pomp veilig boven de grond plaatsen en snel bij de slijtdelen? Voor mengsels met lucht en vaste delen is een zelfaanzuigende pomp de robuuste keuze, voor nettere vloeistoffen kan een standaard centrifugaalpomp volstaan.

In de cement- en betonindustrie loopt een pomp zelden vast op het debiet. Hij loopt vast op slijtage.

Schurende deeltjes vreten aan waaier, pomphuis en afdichtingen. Wisselende samenstelling en lucht in de leiding doen de rest. Een zelfaanzuigende pomp zoals de Super T of Ultra V gaat om met lucht en vaste delen, staat bovengronds droog opgesteld en is via de voorkant te inspecteren zonder leidingen te demonteren. Slijtdelen vervang je snel, de downtime blijft beperkt.

In the cement and concrete industry, a pump rarely fails on flow. It fails on wear.

Abrasive particles attack the impeller, casing and seals. Variable media and air in the line do the rest. A self-priming pump such as the Super T or Ultra V handles air and solids, installs above ground and can be inspected from the front without dismantling the piping. Wear parts are quick to replace, so downtime stays short.

Most emergency pumps do not fail on paper. They fail in the field.

Loss of prime from air leaks or long suction runs, clogging from debris, time lost on setup: that is what decides the outcome in a flood. So select on flow and real total dynamic head (TDH), on solids handling, on reliable automatic re-priming and on fast deployment. An above-ground setup keeps the pump accessible to clear debris without confined-space entry.

Verlies van aanzuiging door luchtlekken of lange zuigleidingen, verstopping door debris, tijd die je verliest bij het opstellen: dat maakt het verschil bij wateroverlast. Kies daarom op debiet en werkelijke opvoerhoogte (TDH), op solids-handling, op betrouwbaar opnieuw aanzuigen en op snelle inzet. Een bovengrondse opstelling houdt je pomp bereikbaar om debris te verwijderen zonder de put in.
