Extrication from a rescuer's point of view.

During the Holmatro Rescue Challenge 2026, one of the Extrication Specialists from Industrial Fire and Rescue Australia wore a bodycam. This gives us the chance to see the work done from his perspective.

This team won the 'Spirit of the Challenge Award', and the fact that they shared this video highlights why. Because by sharing the video, they also share their learnings from the Rescue Challenge with viewers all over the world.

During the Holmatro Rescue Challenge 2026 INTERSCHUTZ, we welcomed teams from 4 different continents. The teams competed to free an entrapped 'live victim' from the latest Škoda cars, using Holmatro’s next-gen Pentheon rescue tools. And the three winning teams went home with fantastic prizes, with a total value of € 60,000!

Because electric vehicles are becoming more and more common, it's important first responders know how to handle them when there's an accident. That's why this week, Artem Fire and Rescue Academy BV supported the Holmatro Rescue Challenge by giving masterclasses on electric vehicles to the competing teams. They used a Skoda Enyac, Skoda Enyaq, the EV-trainer and the EV-SIM. We are happy they brought our expertise here and look forward to more collaboration in the future.
