These days everybody is working from non-office places due to . For crew such conditions are normal. Even more so, our teams must make do with office and living areas that are… ships with 25 degree list for instance. To get things straight they place 2 chairs on the low side of a bed to level the mattress or stack binders to level the laptop and printer setup.

Despite the challenges thrown at the Ardent offices globally, we're still going strong. Being an Emergency Responder we have been prepared for remote work for years now. This week, home offices are set up, coffee running smoothly and we are ready to support our valued customers as required, to the best of our abilities.

That being said, with several high profile projects ongoing around the world, we would also like to show our appreciation to the Ardent crews currently in the field, away from their families, doing what they do best! Thanks guys & girls, to quote Dutch prime minister "Look after each other, we count on you!"

Salvage of a container vessel

Back in 2014 fully laden, 280 metres long containership ran aground off Aguadulce, Colombia. Ardent, being a go-to salvor of containerships was tasked with refloating the vessel. Ardent team led by Salvage Master Appie Bakker discharged a total of 235 containers with use of a heavy lift vessel, aided by two reach stackers that we put onboard the ship. The operation was conducted in safe, steady manner with no damage to the ship or cargo and the vessel was refloated.

Pioneering LNG Preparedness

Ardent has a strong commitment towards proactive safety. It is for this reason that we have pioneered a bespoke LNG preparedness solution over a decade ago. Since then, we have enhanced and innovated our offering, ideally placing us to proactively support this growing market.

Significant increases in the global LNG Carrier fleet and large LNG fueled vessels going into operations will increase the probability of an incident involving such assets. Considering the inherent complexities associated with LNG, loss mitigation can only be achieved by being adequately prepared. With capabilities to develop dedicated procedures, provide suitable assets and most importantly competent personnel to manage LNG emergencies, Ardent is your loss mitigation partner of choice in the LNG-industry!
